My media summer

My Media Summer.

During the summer I accessed a variety of different media. Music plays a large part in my life. This summer music has been an essential part of my 6 weeks with my friends. Especially in France listening to my Ipod on the journey. For example, the song of my summer was birthday song by Jeremiah.this was because it was played quite frequency on the radio stations and had a catchy chorus which me and my friends all sang along.

I went to Cyprus for 2weeks but I wasn't exposed to much Greek TV. I followed a BBC drama called the street which I thought was a very powerful rendition of different peoples lives on one street.Two of the episodes were very well played.The first was a man having difficulties dealing with his new life coming home scarred from the Iraq war. He was faced with the reactions of his family and how it took a toll on his mental health.The other episode was a man raised in a racist family and falling in love with a Russian lady making him change his views on other culture in society.

While I was in France there generally isn't much to do when I go visit my family as it is in quite a remote place .While we were there me and my mum watched a film called In Her Shoes. I liked this film as it depicts the relationship between two sisters and showing that all relationship's can have rough patches.Its an emotionally charged film.

While I was at home I went to see three films in the cinema. I went to see Year One and thought it was disappointing as it was not as amusing as it was depicted in the trailer. However the best film I saw this summer was Hangover, which me and my brother went to see. I thought that it was going to be another typical American comedy but to my surprise it was generally witty throughout the whole film. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

I wasn't short of reading lots of fashion magazines keeping up with the latest trends, celeb gossip and bargains for the summer seasons. It is great way to keep up with the latest looks and get an insight into the celeb lifestyle. The magazine I read mostly this summer was More magazine. It was just enough real life stories and fashion to keep me reading in the sunshine.

For me having access to media is a day to day norm and especially on Holiday I used the Internet to access facebook and keep up with friends, listen to music, watch clips and do some research. A summer without access to different media would have meant that my time would have lacked interest.
